Mercury. Not exactly the most entertaining of planets, but certainly one of the most peaceful. With the atmospheric generator setting up a heat and pressure field around where he sat outside the TARDIS, it was actually quite nice.

He had two white wicker chairs and a table set up outside the TARDIS, with a pot of tea and two cups and saucers out.

After all, he had a date arriving.

Well, not really a date.

Just Romana.

Still! No reason not to put a little effort out!

Said not-really-date was just finishing with the last adjustments before her own TARDIS began it's re-materialization. With a little huff, blowing a stray blond stand from her face, Romana reached over and flipped up the final switch the moment she knew she was at the desired location. A smile hinted at her lips , satisfied.

Shrugging her arms into a light knee-length jacket she plucked from the console Romana was moving around the controls for the door. Whether it was luck or not, she had parked close enough so that as pulled open the doors the warm air from the atmospheric generator brushed against her cheek.

Immediately her gaze looked up to the sky. An image near identical to the invitation she had received from The Doctor.

He certainly was not kidding when he had said it was a new desktop. Still admiring the new design, she was walking into the console room once more, her heels clicking against the floor.

Just for the occasion Romana had changed her clothes in another room of the TARDIS. She found herself favoring a white dress of a simple design with no straps and the bottom of chiffon ruffles that stopped just past her knees. And with heels similar to those she wore in her first incarnation she would be bound to turn heads.

"Doctor, are we there yet?"

The Doctor stared up at the wood ceiling. It was higher than the last time he stared at it, the TARDIS was redecorating itself. Why, oh, why, did it have to start with his room each time? Just when he thought he was getting used to something...

One arm wrapped around Romana's shoulders as they lay together. Another thing that was changing. Had changed. Changed. It was different, now. Though he didn't think it was changed in a bad way, not remotely, it was just...well, it was different. Very different.

And he loved her. He knew it, even if he was probably unable to say it. He pressed a kiss to the crown of her head.
