Mercury. Not exactly the most entertaining of planets, but certainly one of the most peaceful. With the atmospheric generator setting up a heat and pressure field around where he sat outside the TARDIS, it was actually quite nice.
He had two white wicker chairs and a table set up outside the TARDIS, with a pot of tea and two cups and saucers out.
After all, he had a date arriving.
Well, not really a date.
Just Romana.
Still! No reason not to put a little effort out!

A pause.
"You know, somewhere."
She was so comforting as she slept. A warm presence that made him feel...well, he didn't feel alone. And he'd had lovers in the past that couldn't make him feel this way. It had to just be Romana. Difficult woman that she was, she fit with him. She made him feel...like he belonged somewhere.

"And it's always late somewhere else," came the instant reply. She really could not help the need to get in the last word some times.

He leaned up and pressed a kiss to the side of her mouth.

"One thing always leads to another with you, doesn't it?"

Was he smug? Oh, just a little bit. He felt like he won that mini-banter.

Settling on running her fingers through his ruffled hair she pressed another short kiss to his lips. "Well, either way, it would seem that you have me around for a little while longer."

Which wasn't true, actually. He was fairly certain he was used to her presence the moment she was there. Which was terrifying, also.
He tucked a lock of her hair behind her ear.

"Didn't you mention something earlier about ice-skating?" She asked. Not that she wouldn't mind spending more time until then just remaining where she was.

But he was one who liked to experience everything about a holiday at once. Which made Halloween a very painful holiday when he decided to try every candy he trick-or-treated at once.

"Well then," Romana began as she eased herself up to sitting on the bed, holding the bed sheet over her body, "Since I seem to be quite late as it is shouldn't we be preparing to go?"
Again with the teases.

"Ohhhh, all right." He released her and sighed. "Venus, dancing, and Christmas. Not a bad date, I'd say."

And there it was - the little moment to even the score.

Mercury?
His jaw dropped slightly, but only for an instant.
"No, I knew that, I was...just checking to make sure you did!"

There was definitely no helping the giggle on her part - something that she had done when she was much younger! Again, she could blame it on him for bringing this side of her out.
"Of course you were," she eased his confusion with the promised kiss.

"I was." He replied, with possibly a little pout to his voice. But only a little one.
He pulled away and fumbled for his trousers. Ah, the fun part of simply throwing them aside.

Without even looking at a mirror she had a feeling that her hair was going to need a good brushing. Fluffing it a bit before patting at it, "Now I'm wondering if I should have waited on that shower."

"I'm a little wrinkled myself," he admitted. "Still, sometimes, you know, with spontaneity, got to be a little wrinkled."
He hopped off the bed and all but bounced around, collecting socks and shoes and jacket.

"Be that as it may, some of us do prefer to be a bit less wrinkled."
The t-shirt was pulled over her head and her hair pulled out from being caught in the collar. Easing herself off the bed she was able to finish dressing without the hopping about.

"Are you all right?" he asked. About several things. He knew she was certain at the time, but he couldn't help but worry. He cared.

"I am perfectly fine," Romana replied, squeezing his hand once with a reassuring smile on her lips. "Really, I am."

He leaned forward and pressed a kiss to her lips. Lovers, now. Funny, besides the new intimacy, their relationship didn't feel very different yet. Maybe they had always been that way on some, non-sexual level before.
