WORST KEPT SECRET EVER

From: [identity profile] notadoctoryet.livejournal.com

Wasn't it just? Still pretty exciting though, I may have got a little carried away when he opened the watch!

From: [identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com

Like, I heard the spoiler that was the EXACT ending, to a frickin' T, before this season even aired.

And it's canonically incorrect! NO REGENERATIONS FOR U KTHANX.

From: [identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com

SO MANY MEN, SO LITTLE TIMELORDS!

Totally. That would be, like, win. Jack!Master. "MUWHAHAHAHAHHAHA!"

From: [identity profile] shaman-x.livejournal.com

DAMN TISSUE COMPRESSION ACCIDENT!!!

And all the Doctor's companions would be, like, "take me, Time Lord!" and the Doc'd be like, "Okay" and they'd be all, "um," *toes ground*, and he'd be going :-O and the Master would be all "heh heh heh, how you doin'?" and boinking Harriet Jones on the side.

From: [identity profile] notadoctoryet.livejournal.com

I believe you've just thought up a way to have made that episode even more fantastic!

From: [identity profile] notadoctoryet.livejournal.com

That's exactly what I said! I'm hoping the confidential will some how explain his sudden ability to regenerate, but I'm not holding my breath.

The only thing I can come up with is him being turned human sort of reset him, which was also solve the problem of what happens when the Doctor gets to the last of his regenerations, but it'll probably all just be ignored like the fact the end of Torchwood and the start of Utopia didn't mesh at all!

From: [identity profile] thecricketer.livejournal.com

I haven't seen it yet, but maybe The Master did end up getting those new regenerations in The Five Doctors? Or the Eye of Harmony did...something if they're keeping that as canon. Which will be...difficult. Since NO SENSE MAKING OMG.

From: [identity profile] earth-defender.livejournal.com

There is actually a reason he regenerated and it has something to do witht he Doc's hand and what may happen to the Doctor when DT leaves at the end of next season... so it's said in the papers over here anyway,

From: [identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com

Well, that's still if DT leaves next season. I don't trust the Sun, even if they were pitch-perfect in this season's ender. And I thought he was just taking the hand for a "Doctor Detector"?

Honestly, though, the Master steals bodies to continue on with his life, that's the way it's been since 1981. I mean, I'm superpsyched, but my old-skool Who fan is angry.

From: [identity profile] earth-defender.livejournal.com

Do you know what they said about the hand and the master? I duno if it was the sun, I don't exactly read the papers here....

And yes they were wrong about Kylie being in the next Xmas one and so far it looks like DT may leave but then there were rumors they were canning the show full stop. idiots.

From: [identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com

Nah, the Sun's said that DT leaves next season, they also said that Freema was fired, and that when RTD leaves the whole show will end.

What I think will happen: DT will leave next season, fulfilling the "three year" set before him by Patrick Troughton, Peter Davison and Sylv McCoy. RTD will leave and the show will go on. *shrug*

From: [identity profile] earth-defender.livejournal.com

It's said that Simm is lined up to take over from DT and I really don't think the BBC will shut down the show, look at how much money they are making from it!

The Sun is just stupid and *eye dart and goes red* I buy the kids mag they do for Doc who every couple of weeks (yay free gifts) and usually they dispell a lot of rumors there. Will have to keep eye out.

From: [identity profile] stars-fell.livejournal.com

Wait, how can John Simm take over from DT if he's currently playing the Master? (Wouldn't that be interesting. I'm personally waving the Mark Gatiss flag myself...)

From: [identity profile] doctorsplusone.livejournal.com

I heard something going around that the chameleon arc reboots the regeneration cycle -- so both the Master and the Doctor get a whole new 13 of them.

Don't know if it's rumour or fanwank.

From: [identity profile] aces-are-rare.livejournal.com

I heard something about the 13 lives being a rule of the Gallifrey high council, and now that they are gone the rule no longer applies.

And I love your icon!

From: [identity profile] not-from-mars.livejournal.com

SERIOUSLY.

Oh, this wait to actually see the episode is torture. *was bad and read the summary*

From: [identity profile] not-from-mars.livejournal.com

Haha, I did the same thing when I read that spoiler yesterday. WOO. I just hate that it's going to be a cliffhanger. Hate for cliffhangers!

From: [identity profile] notadoctoryet.livejournal.com

Yep I play Martha in a game where she's going through canon, this is going to totally mess everything up!

From: [identity profile] stolehispurse.livejournal.com

I am so with you on that one!!!! When I learned that it was a bloody three-parter, and not a One Plus Two, as it's quoted on Wiki, I almost didn't watch it.

But WOW the episode was good!

Very long week coming, and another one just as long, possibly longer, after it.

But I do not want DT to leave soon. No. No. No!

(on the other hand? The few minutes I saw of John Simm were almost enough to make me fall in love with him too... *coughs* however much I hate what I know the Master is...)
*has to:
- do translations due Monday
- write the second chibi installment
- write a Natalie prompt
- catch up on more classic!Who*
And in the end? I think I'll ditch some of that for the sake of rewatching Utopia.

*WASN'T THE ONLY ONE after she tried to figure out what the above meant and then went OH DUH*

From: [identity profile] not-from-mars.livejournal.com

*HUZZAH and had to read the comments to find out too, never fear!*

From: [identity profile] stars-fell.livejournal.com

I still went "BOOYAH!" when I read the Fact File at the BBC site! (My sister is not awake yet and I am waiting on her to watch the ep and ARGH.)

From: [identity profile] sarahnotlaura.livejournal.com

*sighs* *is glad she was avoiding spoilers this year*

*hopes they have a good explanation* *wonders if regenerating the Master is to set up for giving the Doctor extra regenerations as he's getting close to the last one*

*is ready to shake everybody concerned about the whole Rose thing*

From: [identity profile] not-tindog.livejournal.com

I bet he stole a timelord body. He is Romana!!!

I also kinda want it to be that the Doctor is the one who made him human, even though this would be a bit implausible.
