If you still want to play, I’m up for anything and I’m kind of intrigued by a sitcom buddy dynamic between these two guys.
Maybe the Doctor drops in Sarah and Luke, only for them to be away and Alan’s keeping an eye on her garden (read - he’s taken complete charge now that she’s out from underfoot, garden-wise)?
Oh, that’s a great idea and more in character for the Doctor instead of just dropping in!
I figure with Alan having been the one who actually provided the tools to reboot Mr. Smith, if the Doctor knew about that, he might be willing to take Alan in lieu of Sarah and Luke if there’s no other viable alternative. And who knows? Maybe the Doctor’s heard something that piques his curiosity?
That would work! It could be something as simple as the Doctor desperately needs another set of hands to open a locked mechanism and it goes off in thirty seconds and oh-my-gosh-but-you're-going-to-have-to-do-please-get-in.
I know this is completely random and over two years gone and you may be completely over all of this, but if not, do you happen to have anything from the prior ten years later thread saved from the actual meme thread?
I think we did a nice little tribute and I’d hate to think any of it is lost.
