First of all, I did very well on my test and tomorrow I'll be prepping to go into all of the classes I want. Tonight, I'm back and tagging asap. I'll also be finishing up those drabble requests.

Think I should do that drabble meme again? Opinions welcome.

Also, like the deleted scene in Journey's End where the Doctor gives Rose and the Duplicate Doctor a lump of TARDIS, I have some not-quite-canon that I am explicitly ignoring.

I'm sorry, I know RTD just released another memoir with ZOMG SHOCKING STUFF, but until the television show explicitly states it, I am not accepting that the Woman in White is the Doctor's mother. #1: Unless they're keeping her on Gallifrey to open the Eye of Harmony like [livejournal.com profile] kingcreevey mentioned, a human wouldn't be on Gallifrey (And I accept the Doctor's-Mother-Is-Human canon, I know not everybody does). Also, um, LAME. Just. His MOTHER? Why? That just doesn't make sense to me. At least when the Duplicate Doctor whispered things in Rose's ear that we couldn't hear it was obvious he was saying "I love you", as RTD later wrote. (Either that, or he said "I'll buy you a puppy", it always gets the ladies.)

So, until canon says otherwise, I think she's Romana. Sorry, Susans out there, but I would believe it was Susan if she promptly leaped on the President's back wailing and screaming as only the Doctor's beloved granddaughter can do. The Woman in White was far too calm for that! It is my opinion Susan was the other woman standing there, frozen by the President to prevent her meddling.

HOWEVER, as far as RP is concerned, if you want to play a Woman in White = Susan/Jenny/The Doctor's Mother/The Rani/Jo Grant Reincarnated opposite my character, please just send me a PM to let me know. I'm pretty flexible when it comes to RP.

So! Just for future reference in stories, when I'm referring to the Doctor's most recent sighting of Romana, I'm referring to the Woman in White. I will put up a post backtracking if the Moff tells it otherwise.

And that's all the OOC nonsense from me today. Be safe, be well, eat fruit, and make sure you say a very happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] realityshifted, an awesome community that's now two years old!

And funny enough I've started putting together a piece (well, really it's more planning and day-dreaming about it on the bus to and from work) to go with that theory. I'm not sure when I'll have it finished but I may bug you some time to beta it.

By the way, do you need more Gallifrey audios or do you still need to finish Weapon of Choice?

From: [identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com

Consider me here for your beta needs. I'll be slow with my beta, but I always am. *shame* But I can't wait to read it!

Still need to finish Weapon of Choice. My free time lately has consisted primarily of working out and catching tags. I'll upload it to my mp3 player ASAP, though, and listen to it on my drive to school tomorrow! Well, part of it, anyway. The drive's only about a half hour.

Just let me know whenever you need the rest. I can send you the rest of season one in a nice little .rar or .zip.

Oh, and I found a very amusing quote from an interview with Lalla about the filming for City of Death: "...We were only there for five days and during that time Tom was a bit annoyed that the French were more interested in me and my schoolgirl outfit than him...".

From: [identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com

That's very like Our Man Baker, isn't it? I love that quote he said about being married to Lalla "...and we were positively blissful for...weeks, I'm sure."

From: [identity profile] tastefulfashion.livejournal.com

Oh, Tom. Tom Tom Tom Tom.

... My parents refuse to let me borrow their Fourth Doctor scarf still. Or the Seventh Doctor's sweater vest at that.

From: [identity profile] quitehomoerotic.livejournal.com

Well pfft, MJ. Isn't it obvious the woman is Jack? I thought personally that that was BLATANTLY clear.

Jack is also the Rani.

No, I don't know what I'm talking about either. Feel free to ignore me, it's probably for the best.

From: [identity profile] quitehomoerotic.livejournal.com

WELL, DUH. He is, of course.

He is also the 13th Doctor.

And my middle name is RTD.

From: [identity profile] quitehomoerotic.livejournal.com

You make it sound like the time has any correlation to my behaviour. I am this strange 24-7.

From: [identity profile] damnfinecoffee.livejournal.com

If I'm getting on a plane with you, I want to believe the time has something to do with it.

It's a defence mechanism.

From: [identity profile] quitehomoerotic.livejournal.com

All the more reason you ought to come to terms with it now that I'm just a lunatic.

You've got 6 weeks to get yourself settled with the fact. Start now. :|

From: [identity profile] damnfinecoffee.livejournal.com

Okay, fine.

But only because I'd probably end up in China if I flew alone. :|

From: [identity profile] tastefulfashion.livejournal.com

Jack being the Rani would make my day.

And now that is probably what I will dream about tonight knowing me.

From: [identity profile] quitehomoerotic.livejournal.com

You know it makes sense.

In so much as it doesn't, but when did that ever stop the show?

From: [identity profile] tastefulfashion.livejournal.com

It's powered by the headaches the fans have when they try to find some sort proper continuity in the time line(s)!

... I think I'm rambling at this point.

From: [identity profile] quitehomoerotic.livejournal.com

Oh I hear you on timelines. I've this one that I made for Jack and sourcing all the information and making sense of it was a nightmare. And that's just for one character. The Whoniverse is... inconsistent, to say the least.

From: [identity profile] tastefulfashion.livejournal.com

Romana's timeline is no where near as complicated as Jack's (and I seriously commend you on the time and effort you have put into that), but still it becomes confusing when a significant portion of her events take place in the audios. I've been trying to get my hands on the books (thankfully Lungburrow is online for reading and I found a copy of The Romance of Crime for cheap) so compile a proper history. It doesn't help that the end of Gallifrey ends on a massive cliff hanger that, when compared to the television show, seems to have been ret-conned or something along those lines.

From: [identity profile] hofficoffi.livejournal.com

You really are this strange all the time.

I, on the other hand, am perfectly normal.

From: [identity profile] hofficoffi.livejournal.com

BTW.

The Woman in White is TOTALLY A REGENERATED HARRIET JONES.

From: [identity profile] quitehomoerotic.livejournal.com

Bully.

Oh sure, whatever you say, Mrs. Ianto Jones. I'm going to stop putting spam in this post now, because it's rude.

From: [identity profile] eleventh-doctor.livejournal.com

You should totes do the Drabble Meme again, because I am an Enabler. Enabling is my biznus.

...says the girl who has yet to finish her own Drabble Meme. Uh.

From: [identity profile] pi-sparrow.livejournal.com

DRABBLE MEME.

Also, I agree with you on the Woman in White thing.

From: [identity profile] damn-time-ring.livejournal.com

Wait, the Woman in White was a human?? *bashes head against wall* But--wait--what? Just...how? And you know, I've seen about two people who thought she was his mother without any sort of prompting while they were watching it, and I was like, "WTF where are you getting that from?!"

And dude, the Woman in White is so Straxus regenerated into a woman's body. You know it's true. (And never mind this works against my own head canon regarding Time Lord regeneration.) I'll fully subscribe to her being Romana. Easily. And shame it can't be Leela because she'd so Janus Thorn the President in an instant...

From: [identity profile] beholdthedrums.livejournal.com

Ewww if it was the Rani, I think I'd kill RTD harder over if it ended up being the Doctor's mother. I'm mostly adamant that the Rani did not go back to Gallifrey for the Time War and effectively gave them the finger if they even dared to ask/try to bring her.

But that's besides the point, really.

From: [identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com

In my personal headcanon, she's actually ruling the better part of two galaxies and the Doctor is 100% aware but doesn't deal with her because she isn't threatening Earth. The only reason she was in those galaxies is because the Master betrayed her and left her on one of those planets to die.

Cue scene from Pirates of the Caribbean:

Rani: I suppose I should be thanking you.
Master: Yeah?
Rani: If you hadn't betrayed me and left me to die, I'd have had an equal share in that curse that Time War, same as the rest of you.

From: [identity profile] beholdthedrums.livejournal.com

XD Very true! Although I'm more for thinking she punted him on his way. She seemed to be one of the few that clearly noticed his obsession with the Doctor, which makes everything the Master's fault.

Although I've only seen the first two serials with her, so for all I know the TARDIS became the Love Shack while it spun off with a T-Rex. ...or something.

*has no idea if she was going anywhere with that fff*

From: [identity profile] ms-saxon.livejournal.com

If I do the drabble meme, It'll be nice to have some kind of back up XD

From: [identity profile] aliengeekgirl.livejournal.com

As far as I'm concerned, the Woman in White was Romana. I can't get my head around it being anyone else, to be honest...

From: [identity profile] yetiwillspeak.livejournal.com

...I am ignoring that canon until the TV show throws it in my face; so there RTD, SO THERE! She is Romana and the Time Lords lost the Time War because Rassilon ran around naming everything after himself instead of actually fighting and Leela is off being awesome somewhere sunny. So there :|.

And I approve of another drabble meme! For I am thinking of doing it again too; because I am mad ^^.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RS! :DDDDDD

...And I am also too lazy to change accounts :|; Emilia is very relevant to my babble. Honest. She was there too~.

From: [identity profile] another-susan.livejournal.com

IS RTD SAYING IT WAS HIS MOTHER OMG I WILL END HIM

ahem
So true about Susan though, as much as I want it to be her she'd be doing a lot more wailing if it was. There are also people saying it was Donna, whaaaaaat. I think I'm probably switching Susan around to include Earthly Child, if anything because somehow in my weird head audios are more canon than novels. This is probably because of my previous awful experiences with Star Wars novelizations.
