In regards to valentines and the like.

No, no, I did not forget anyone who put up a meme or...you know something like that about valentines. I simply did not answer.

Valentines Day is a ridiculous holiday. What happened? I mean, think about it---St. Valentine? Man was marrying couples against his Roman Emporer's decree that soldiers should be unmarried. Noble idea, yes, but all it ended with was him getting his head lobbed off.

That, and there should be no reason for me not to tell the ones that I l---that I care deeply for that I do on any day of the year. Ridiculous human holiday.

Commercialism, singling out of---uh, single people, and more commercialism. And that movie with Hugh Grant and what's her name from E.T., that came out today too. Romantic comedies! What's so funny about romance?!

Single people aren't singled out if they have friends! I'm single, and I'm happy. I have people who I love in my life and that's enough.

Its not just about romance. It is definitely not about Music & Lyrics (ugh), and its only commercial if you make it that way.

But the fact that St. Valentine still continued on despite that. I prefer the historical account than what we've gotten stuck with. I have had some rather nice Valentine's days too, but by and large, it is a holiday I could do without with.

Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. But for better or worse, Doctor, it's human nature to doubt what others really think about one. So one really doesn't know for sure unless one hears the words, and even then, one often needs to be reminded. Why else do you think three words are tremendously important for many people to hear?

Such a pleasant proclamation. I know that you have your affairs of the -- those you care deeply about in order. But sadly, many of those of my acquaintance, both male and female, are in sad need of the prodding this day provides. For many it is their partners one, lone day of their devotion. Now, I would put forth that the other days of silence speak more to the devotion otherwise? But a poorly written poem and all is forgiven.

Still, who are we to deny their happiness.

I just think that there isn't a particular day where you have to be romantic and you fail at life if you aren't. Or why it's any more special on the 14th of February than it is on any other day of the year. But I'm a woman, and it's nice sometimes to have that kind of attention-- I can't lie.

Oh, don't bring the woman-versus-man in on this---it's simply a matter of why this particular day? Shouldn't the first day of spring or something be more important? The start of the mating season? I simply don't understand it, is all.

*arches an eyebrow* Mating season? Never heard that term in reference to people. Either way, I've never really wondered why it is that way, why it was February 14th, but it's really funny when you look at it-- the obligation to get someone something.
