Following this.
Frioro 8 was a lovely planet just outside of the Daystar Nebula. Highly advanced but fairly welcome to tourists, it wasn't a bad place to take Faith for her first outing. And it would be good for her, he decided. She didn't deserve to think that living without proper sleep or dinner was normal. No matter how much excitement was in her life (and he had a feeling she rivaled him in excitement), she deserved the basics.
And maybe she'd be good for him, too. After Mars, after everything that had happened, he was loathe to run off to Ood Sigma anytime soon. Maybe enjoy himself with Faith for a bit, see a few stars in the meantime, then find out just where his song ended.
"This is the TARDIS," he said to Faith, gesturing to the big, blue box. "Our method of transport."

"This is the most advanced technology in the universe, thank you very much." He placed a loving hand on the wooden side.
"And she looks like a police box, thank you verymuch."

She's just going to keep her comments about men and their toys always being a woman to herself. Getting her ass left on some crazy planet wasn't something she was interested in should he decide to take her there and do just that.

He shoved the key into the lock and held the door open, revealing the much-larger-on-the-inside console room. He beamed. Nothing quite like showing off the ship. Martha always told him it was a 'man thing'.

He hopped inside, tossing his coat over one of the columns as he dashed to the main console. "Capable of travel to any planet and any time period in that planet's existence. Temporal physics."

"Any time, huh? You ever go back and change things or is that a big no no?"

"I have been to a few major events, but they've always gone like history intended them." He nodded to the console. "You might want to hold on."

"To what?" Because breaking something was not on the agenda.

He nodded to the console. "Just the side there. The coral's pretty tough. And you might want to now..."
He pulled the parking brake, sending the ship hurtling through time and space.

"Thing has some wicked get up and go, Doc."

He grinned madly and grabbed the hand brake, pulling the ship to a sharp stop. He lost his balance and tumbled backwards onto the grating. All in a day's driving.
"Brilliant!"

She was also sure she would have laughed when the Doctor went tumbling if she hadn't nearly landed on her ass again herself. "You do this how often?"
Just because she hadn't laughed, didn't mean that she wouldn't take the chance to rib him good naturedly.

"Perfect landing! Not that I don't always have a perfect landing, but---I might not always have a perfect landing." He grabbed his coat and hopped towards the doors.
"Bite to eat and a long, dreamless sleep. Sound like fun?"
OOC: Sorry for the long delay!
