It's really ridiculous how much of the TARDIS needs repairing. 900+ years of time travel will do that, he supposes, but sometimes when he's especially ready to go out and explore, it becomes a bit of a hassle.
Like right now, where he's wedged under the console, waiting for the TARDIS's engines to start cooling down so they can get moving again.
"Come on, old girl," he says, patting the side of the coral. "It's not so bad, it's just a new cooling system." The TARDIS groans irritably within his mind. She hates this just as much as he does.
