My first Doctor was actually Nine, and he hooked me right in because the Doctor is still a damaged outsider always trying to do what's right - not always succeeding, but trying, because he cares, because someone has to, because the universe is gorgeous and brilliant and fascinating and he's damn well going to protect it; he has so much more to discover and show other people, so much more to learn.
He's not the first character I've loved - but he's the one who's inspired me most, and I'm so, so happy I met him, and found this beautiful, dynamic, utterly unique show.
