OPEN RP FOR ANYBODY (RP topic from [livejournal.com profile] oncoming_storms)

You have picked up a distress signal, and followed it to a hotel in London. All you are able to determine is that it is coming from someplace inside the hotel, and is not terrestrial in origin. What will you do? What will you find at the other end of the signal?

"But I've found a...oh, nevermind."

The receptionist was exceptionally unhelpful, so the Doctor darted down the hallways of the hotel, knocking on doors. One of them would be the person who sent the distress signal.

OOC: Open to all. Any universe, any time. If you want to have your pup be in this hotel and answer the door, just go for it! I won't be up toooooooo much later this evening, but I won't leave anybody hanging, I'll catch you asap tomorrow afternoon!

K'tanya had just finished getting ready for her most recent television debut on some show about a bunch of people trapped on an island.. She was the girl who steals the two love interests away from the female lead and then single handedly rescues everyone off the island, right after she brings all the dead people back to life.

"Daddy!"

The intense thrill the Doctor felt at seeing his beautiful, possibly-more-intelligent-than-him daughter behind the doors was enough to make him think he didn't need to find that distress signal, he simply had her.

"K'tanya!" He scooped the girl up into a hug, "You're here!"

She wrapped her arms around him and giggled in a totally annoying cute sort of way because her daddy was the absolute bestest daddy any girl could have and she didn't see him nearly enough what with him out saving the universe all the time. She taught him well after all.

"Of course I'm here! This is the nicest building in town." Stepping back she looked at him curiously. "When did you get here?"

[identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com 2007-10-13 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)
"About an hour ago, was looking for this distress signal..." he pulled out the crudely-made detection device, glanced at it, then tossed it over his shoulder. So much less important than his brilliant and amazing daughter! Oh, but she probably had absolutely wonderful stories to tell him and he would listen rather than talk!

"How've you been?"

[identity profile] idealized-sue.livejournal.com 2007-10-13 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
She ushers him inside to her perfectly pink apartment. "I've been absolutely awesome. I just got this new job on TV, I have a boyfriend who's a total hottie, and recently discovered the cure for mononucleosis!"

[identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com 2007-10-13 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
The pink should bother him, but it's K'tanya and everything about her is amazing, including the pink of her apartment.

"That's all? I'm a bit disappointed in you, I expected you to win a Screen Actors' Guild Award by now, too. Or is it not that time of year, yet?"

[identity profile] idealized-sue.livejournal.com 2007-10-13 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well the SAG's aren't until January, so I had to settle for the Academy Award and the Emmy so far. My agent tells me though that I'm a shoo in come the first of the year."

She sighs softly. "I should have had the Nobel Peace Prize again, but they said three times in a row was a bit much, so they have it to that green guy instead."

[identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com 2007-10-13 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's all right," he put a hand on her shoulder, "Awards don't mean anything as long as you know that you're amazing."

Of course she was amazing. She was his daughter, wasn't she? She'd exceeded him in every way imaginable. He couldn't be prouder of her, damn whatever the awards might say.

[identity profile] idealized-sue.livejournal.com 2007-10-13 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"I know." She smiled brightly at him, because he always made her feel so extra special when he was around. It was part of the reason she loved her daddy so much.

"And the Olympics are coming up anyway, so I should probably concentrate on my various sporting events, not to mention the whole political thing. I really do thing the US should make it legal for me to run for president, cause I would so fix this country."

[identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com 2007-10-14 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
"The US doesn't deserve your brilliance," the Doctor said. "And...I know you've got so terribly much going on, but I can kick my current companion off the TARDIS if you'll come back away with me. The universe isn't as easy to save without you at my side!"

[identity profile] idealized-sue.livejournal.com 2007-10-14 06:55 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh daddy, you know that I would love to go with you, but we talked about this the last time you asked me to come away with you. You have simply got to learn to save the universe without me."

[identity profile] rude-not-ginger.livejournal.com 2007-10-17 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
"But I can't do it as well without you!" It was true, and every day seemed so lonely without his daughter there.

But he couldn't be selfish, the rest of the universe needed her so much more.

"I understand."

She sighed softly, because he really did look so very, very lonely. "You really need to find like, a few permanent girlfriends or boyfriends or something. Maybe you should run a contest, and then the winners could become your new companions!"
