The Doctor sighed as once again there was a knock on the door. For some reason, the hotel had failed to check him in properly, despite his frequent calls to the receptionist downstairs, and he had been regularly invaded by room service workers for the past hour. He had originally resolved to ignore the next thump on the door and to concentrate purely on the distress signal that had brought him there in the first place, but this latest thumping had sounded decidedly more frantic and urgent than your typical mop-bearing cleaning lady and, once again, his curiosity had gotten the better of him.

Slowly, with one hand firmly grasping the phone to call the receptionist again, he opened the door, and almost immediately raised an eyebrow.

"Well...this is, er, very odd, I have to say."
