She didn't even know who she was. She couldn't know, not completely. All she had were vague impulses and flashes of memory, and the words of people who danced around topics for fear of saying something the other her wouldn't appreciate, or that they thought the current her didn't need to know.

It hurt, more than a little, that apparently the other her was so cruel and dispassionate that people were so wary. That something as simple as a kiss might cost the Doctor her wrath later. That he cared for her and she apparently couldn't even find it in her to care in return when she was her normal self.

"It isn't fair," she murmured when their lips parted briefly, because it wasn't, and she didn't know what to do about that.
