Again I marvel at your use of the second person. I don't really care who is talking to the Doctor, if it's some outsider, himself, what have you, it works. I like his confusion and frustration over humans just not getting it about love. It feels real for him. Not alien at all, but characteristically him (nothing about him seems alien and never has, to me. I think I might be missing something.)

And then you have that shift from past to present. The tone is much more sober, a little sad, but with fondness. That same tone also notes something different about him. Like I can definitely see Ten's personae in your scant description of him. You definitely bring on the layers. :D
