"I know that," he said, looking back off at the crack of light by the door. "You know you even sounded different to me then. Said my name differently. Probably sounds stupid..."

The suggestion though made him lift his head. He turned towards the Doctor and squinted in the half light, shooting him an incredulous look.

"And if you think I'll agree to that you obviously still don't know me at all. Don't be ridiculous, I'm not going anywhere."

The thought didn't even enter Jack's mind. He stayed with the Doctor. That's what he'd always do.
