"And you," the Doctor said, giving him a smile. He didn't know what Jack had dreamt of, but his body felt tired from the tension and the pressure of bad dreams later on in the night. Still, nothing he wouldn't recover from with some breakfast and a bit of running. A good run always rejuvenated the muscles, he'd found.

The connection from the previous evening was looser, now, but he had a feeling Jack might still be able to feel the Doctor's worry or tiredness, and he did his best to keep them quiet, locked up. After all, they had quite a bit to live for, now. No need to muck it up with negative emotions.

"Ready to save the world?" he asked.
