From a strictly scientific point of view, this was actually a terribly enlightening experience. He’d learned more than he’d expected about the connection that he could form with Jack, it also it gave him a basis for future encounters of the like (and, really, a good scientific venture always included the probability of future endeavors). The results were good and opened up doorways to new hypothesizes, and new experiments.

Of course, he wasn’t thinking in a strictly scientific mindset. He lay next to Jack and grinned madly, entirely pleased with himself.

It feels like something’s released, he thought, because thinking was significantly easier than talking. Something that was holding me back. Well, holding us back, I suppose.
