Rachel giggled as she listened to the Doctor arranging for someone else to pay for their dinner. "I hope you know this guy Jack," she said. "And you know that he'll, like, not care that you totally just did that."
She drew her other leg up, too, so she was sitting cross-legged on the bench, resting her forearms on her knees. "Yeah? I figured it couldn't be too bad, if you weren't afraid to be out here all by yourself, with, like, an open container and all."
The breeze coming in off the bay caught her hair, ruffling it gently, and she reached up and tucked it back behind her ears. "What kinda doctor are you? Like, medical? Something else?"
